COLLECTIONS

The ENVELOPE collection amounted to €598 and the   collection    for Accord came to  €664 Many thanks for your generosity.

Thanks to all who contribute to parish funds through standing order.

If anyone else would like to use this method of donation, forms are available in the sacristy.

Altar Servers

Training for Altar servers continues each Saturday at 4pm.

Ash Wednesday

Lent begins this week.

Ash Wednesday is on  22nd February.

Ashes will be distributed during 9.15 am & 7 pm Mass.

Lent

There will be Mass at

7 pm each week-day (Mon – Fri) during Lent.

Trocaire

Trocaire boxes are available at the back of the Church for anyone who would like to gather their small change for the needy.

BAPTISM

Parents who wish to have their child Baptised are invited to attend a meeting beforehand. The next meeting will take place in the Church  on Wed 29th  Feb 2012 at 7:30pm

CONFIRMATION

The programme in preparation for Confirmation will continue at 12 o’clock Mass on Sunday,

26th February.

School Enrolment

Enrolment of Junior Infants in Archbishop Ryan Junior N.S. for Sept 2012 will take place throughout the month of February.

Women in Balgaddy

FIRST COMMUNION

Our “Do This in Memory” programme in preparation for next year’s First Holy Communion continues  this Sunday 11th Mar.

10.30am Mass for the children from Archbishop Ryan school.

12.00 Mass for the children from G.V.E.T., Ghaelscoil Eiscir Riada & Lucan East  Educ. Tog.

Junior Choirs

Practise continues on Tuesday evenings at 6pm for the children’s choir. The teenager’s choir will practise at 5pm on Saturdays. New members welcome for both.

Weekly Parish Activities

Sunday: Gospel Message for young children at both Masses

Monday: Adult Choir practice 7.30 pm; Divine Mercy Prayer 8-9pm

Tuesday: Scripture Sharing Group at 9.45am; children’s choir practice at 6pm; RCIA meeting at 7.30pm

Wednesday: tea/coffee after morning Mass, Baptism meeting once a month at 7.30pm

Thursday: ‘Young at Heart’ group 2 to 4pm

Friday: Adoration from 9.45am to 3pm

Saturday: Altar Server training 4pm, Teenagers choir 5pm

CHILD PROTECTION

Our Parish has a very strong Child Protection Policy in place which is  reviewed regularly by the Parish Pastoral Council. A copy is available for inspection.
