This means that they must enrol for religion classes each year and attend the classes. There is a three year programme for First Holy Communion beginning when the child enters the Senior Infants class in September. If the child fails to complete any of these three years (Senior Infants, 1st and 2nd classes) they will be obliged to repeat the year and their First Holy Communion will be deferred. When your child has celebrated First Holy Communion they are then required to follow the programme for 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th classes in order to celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation. If the child fails to complete any of these years they will be obliged to repeat the year and the Sacrament of Confirmation will be deferred.Have you read and understood the above requirements for your child to receive the sacraments?*YesDoes your child have a sibling already attending religion classes*YesNoIf yes please tell us their name(s) and current classOnline ClassesWe don’t yet know if after school activities including religion classes will be permitted to take place in schools in September.
